My name is Miss Lindsey and I teach third grade reading, language arts, and social studies for my homeroom and Mrs. Brown's homeroom. This is my sixth year teaching for Louisville City Schools. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University in Early Childhood Education. I also obtained my grades K-12 Reading Endorsement at Walsh University. Finally, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
I come from a long line of teachers, so you could say educating is in my blood! I am very dedicated to teaching and meeting each child's needs. We will be building community in my room each day by doing team building activities and getting to know one another.
An important process in your child's learning is communication! This will help promote an enjoyable learning environment for your child. Please do not hesitate to contact me at school through e-mail or by phone. I am looking forward to a great year!

Then we will rotate in the following order: Day A: Library Day B: Tech Day C: Gym Day D: Music Day E:Art
ROAR charts will be coming home every night, with the homework for the week on the back. Please review all of this with your child each night, sign, and return the next day.
Data Binders: Data binders will come home at the beginning of each week. Inside will be a collection of your child's work and all graded papers. When the data binder comes home, please review and discuss your child's progress with him/her. Sign and return the following day.
Spelling: I will teach handwriting to my homeroom students. For language arts, the students will only have 5-6 spelling words a week along with a language arts focus skill. Each week your child will bring home a Language Arts sheet with homework boxes, referred to as LA Boxes. The boxes are to prepare your child for their Language Arts/Spelling test each week. Language Arts/Spelling tests will be on the last day of the week typically. Please study the LA Boxes with your child to prepare them for the test.
